Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. They hosted Memduh Büyükkılıç and held an evaluation meeting for investments and new projects implemented in the district.
The meeting, attended by bureaucrats and relevant unit managers from KASKİ, KCETAŞ, and Transportation Inc., discussed and addressed a wide range of topics, from health centers to education, urban transformation to horizontal architecture, social projects to green space and transportation projects.
Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "Melikgazi, with a population of nearly 600,000, is the largest and most populous district in Kayseri. Our Mayor Memduh served here for 20 years and is well-versed in all district matters. We discussed and evaluated the work we will undertake until 2029. We evaluated all the projects to be undertaken by our infrastructure institutions, especially KCETAŞ, KASKİ, Kayserigaz, and Taşıma A.Ş., as well as the demands of our citizens. One of the areas we have accelerated, especially after the February 6th earthquake, is urban transformation. We are carrying out urban transformation projects in many areas where there is need. Therefore, we presented our urban transformation work and projects to our esteemed Metropolitan Mayor and esteemed administrators. Hopefully, Melikgazi will continue its services in a much better location. I would like to thank all our Metropolitan Mayor, our administrative colleagues, and my colleagues who contributed. Currently, there are no debts or loans in Türkiye, We are among the district municipalities that make the most investments, build the most schools, build the most health centers, and create the most parks and green spaces. Melikgazi deserves the best of everything. We are working towards this goal. We said that 2025 would be the year of Melikgazi. This is because we will be inaugurating and laying the groundwork for many projects, including the "Melikgazi Çarşı" (Marketplace Melikgazi), the Aviation and Space Sciences High School, Gön Han, the Köşk Madrasa, the Toy Library, and the Melikgazi Art Center. May all our services be beneficial to Kayseri and Melikgazi."
Stating that they continue to provide services with shared wisdom and harmony, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç also made a statement, saying:
“I thank our esteemed Mayor and his team for hosting us. It feels like we've come home. We've worked here for 20 years.
Our esteemed Mayor Mustafa is truly an asset to our city. He demonstrates an approach that adds value to our city with the projects he has implemented and the work he will undertake. We are delighted by this. Kocasinan and Melikgazi are two of our largest districts, essential to the city. The work being done in these areas is, of course, of great interest to all of us. Talas is the same way. Moving forward with a shared understanding, acting together, and taking contributing approaches is an enrichment for us. While listening to projects with the general managers of our infrastructure organizations and our assistant general secretaries and taking notes on what our Metropolitan Municipality needs to do, we were also delighted to see the harmony between the two municipalities. From the investment We are working to improve people's comfort, both as metropolitan and district municipalities, by investing and providing services. We are implementing projects and making investments to raise the bar even higher. I believe we will not see this in any other city in Türkiye. I would like to thank our esteemed members of parliament, ministers, Governor of Kayseri, NGOs, and everyone who has contributed, especially our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for their unwavering support throughout this process. We are all striving to take this city to a better level. One of the driving forces behind this is Melikgazi. I would also like to thank our esteemed Mayor and his team for this. There is no stopping, there is only progress.
