Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said that the struggle against insects started in the larval stage at the beginning of March and continued as 5 teams formed.

Stating that they are doing a regular work to have a fly-free summer with the effective work carried out in the larval stage of the insect, Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu made the following statements on the subject:

“In the spring months, we are spraying against mosquitoes and insects in order to protect public health, to increase the quality of life and to control many infectious diseases. With the warming of the weather in our Melikgazi, we are spraying larvae against flies and insects in many parts of the district. The boundaries of our district cover a very large area. Especially in the summer months, the vineyard and summer areas enlarge our work area. In this respect, we are doing a planned and coordinated work. In our 58 neighbourhoods, spraying was carried out during the larval period. This work will be noticed in the summer. "

 Stating that in order for the spraying to be effective, first of all, aqueous wastes, which will be the fly nest, should not be thrown into the garbage. Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said that the struggle started with the drying of the swamps should continue by keeping the environment clean.
