The ground-breaking ceremony of the Martyrs Mosque, which will be built with the cooperation of Melikgazi Municipality and Benevolent, in Yeniköy District, was held with the participation of AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki, in charge of Local Governments.

        In the ground-breaking program, AK Party Local Administrations Vice Chairman Mehmet Özhaseki , AK Party Kayseri Deputy Taner Yıldız, Mayor of Talas Mustafa Yalçın, Mayor of Hacılar Bilal Özdagan, Kayseri Provincial Mufti Mehmet İzci, AK Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Şaban Çopuroğlu , AK Party Melikgazi District Head of Gökhan Ülke, Kayseri chamber of commerce president Ömer Gülsoy and citizens attended.

Emphasizing that as Kayseri, collaborate with good services, the Mayor of Melikgazi, Dr. Mustafa Palancioğlu said, “I hope that the foundation of this mosque will be completed as soon as possible.

This mosque name is also special. This area is 29,000 square meters. We are making as Martyrs Park in this mosque, I hope we will build Martyrs Mosque with the same name in Martyrs Park. The names of all our martyrs will carry on who have been martyred and entomb here in Kayseri and its environs.

       We will build a nice social facility here for the families of martyrs and our veterans. I hope it will be a spiritual environment. 

Near the completion of the construction of the mosque, we will try to complete our park soon. In Melikgazi, we are meeting not only the mosque, but also the needs such as school and health centre one by one. We're going to build a nice science high school here. There will be no need for a family health centre until the 2024 election. We make projects according to the needs. The construction of approximate 7 health centres and nearly 10 schools continues. School needs are also met to a great extent. Kayseri municipality adds a new one every day to its works that will set an example for other cities. Together, we do things that cannot be done in many cities. May Allah be pleased with our benefactor İsmail Davut Bayırbaş. I wish this new mosque to be good.” said.

      AK Party Kayseri Deputy Taner Yıldız said, “We started this blessed Friday with this beautiful charity, whose name is the martyrs mosque. It is very nice to support our mosques, which are the cornerstones of basic religious education. Kayseri is very lucky in this regard, mashallah. It will be a very beautiful aesthetic mosque. Best wishes." he said.

     Mehmet Özhaseki, AK Party Local Administrations Vice Chairman, who said that Kayseri competes in charity works and sets an example for other provinces, said, "We also love our city. Kayseri is becoming very beautiful. We have a memory in every corner.The people of this city all is grist that comes to their mill. And they always do well with their earnings. On this occasion it is also known as the philanthropic city. May Allah increase the number of such beautiful people.
