EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE IS BEING STRENGTHENED IN MELIKGAZI FOR HEALTHIER FUTURE GENERATIONS.
16 April 2026

Believing that investing in youth is investing in the future, Melikgazi Municipality, which has built the most schools in Türkiye, is bringing golden years to the district with its education investments.
A 12-classroom middle school will also be built next to the Afife-H. Mehmet Tanç Primary School, which is under construction in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood.
Saying that significant investments are being made in education in Melikgazi and that they are constantly adding new ones to the education investments they have implemented, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated, "With our municipal approach that prioritizes education, we are resolutely continuing our work. Schools are educational institutions that build, develop, transform, and carry our children's lives into the future. That's why they are so important to us. As the municipality that has built the most schools in Türkiye, we have met the educational needs of our district with our school projects befitting the 21st century of Turkey. We are putting our best efforts into all stages of education, from preschool to primary, secondary, and high school. While our Yıldırım Beyazıt neighborhood is transforming and changing with our urban transformation efforts, it is also becoming more prestigious with the services we provide. In this context, we will build another secondary school with 12 classrooms, named Fatma Tanç Demircioğlu and Rıfat Demircioğlu, right next to our Afife-H. Mehmet Tanç Primary School, which is currently under construction. After the tender process, we will lay the foundation of our school. With these new schools, we will meet a great need in the region. We plan to complete these schools in a short time and hopefully open them to service soon. Our new schools will be modern and equipped with all social facilities." "We are careful to ensure that they are not high-rise buildings. I hope that our schools will be beneficial to our district, our students, and their families. We will continue to work for the future of our children," he said.
The middle school, which will be built on a construction area of 1856 square meters in Yıldırım Beyazıt Neighborhood, will have 12 classrooms and will consist of a ground floor and a first floor. The middle school will include a canteen, guidance service, multi-purpose hall, school parent association, administrative offices, subject group rooms, laboratory, and service areas.
