Melikgazi Municipality, which sets an example with its citizen-focused projects and social municipal work, has launched the "Accessible Melikgazi" minibus, which will make life easier for disabled citizens in need in the district.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, closely examining the newly purchased minibus, said:

“As the Melikgazi Municipality, we are offering a new service to the residents of Melikgazi. Our citizens with physical disabilities were experiencing difficulties, especially when reaching public hospitals from home. We provided support as much as we could in the applications we received, but to provide this service more professionally, we purchased the ‘Accessible Melikgazi’ minibus. It is now in service. We will operate as a municipal taxi. Citizens in need, residing in Melikgazi, who are physically disabled, or who are trying to reach hospitals with their disabled cars, can apply to our municipality. Citizens with disabilities must have a companion when being transported. The minibus has a special ramp for wheelchairs and battery-powered vehicles to board comfortably. We also drop our disabled citizens off at their homes after their hospital visit.
