Melikgazi Municipality started demolition works for the construction of a qualified "Marketplace and Social Facility" project in Selçuklu Neighborhood.

Melikgazi Mayor Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “We are in our Seljuk Neighborhood. Taking advantage of the lockdown, we are building roads, parks and social facilities. We make sure things get done quickly. We are currently in our Seljuk Neighborhood, which we call Eskişehir Bağları. The market place here is quite old and we are implementing this beautiful project here. We are doing a project here by our municipality, whose upper side will be a social facility and a market place. Women will be trained and at the same time there will be a sports facility where they can do gymnastics. In addition, children will have a nice place where they can study in the form of a library. We have now made the tender. Dismantling of the old market is done by our municipality itself. Hopefully, we will lay the foundation of this place in a month and we plan to complete it by the end of the summer. Both our tradesmen will do their job in a qualified field, and our citizens will be able to shop at a very qualified and beautiful spot. There is a large investment cost of around 7 million TL. There were no social facilities here. There was a great need. With this new project, we are bringing in a beautiful social facility for both our women and our youth.

Seljuk Neighborhood Headman Murat Yılmaz said, “I thank our president very much. Indeed, there was a great need in our Seljuk Neighborhood. Our fellow marketers, our citizens were suffering great disgrace, the roof was flowing. Thanks to you, we are bringing a beautiful market place to the Seljuk District. " he spoke.

The social facility will include a Akıl küpü work station, various workshops, children's playgrounds, cafeteria, fitness center and service spaces. Akıl küpü workstation, which will allow young people to study together, will have single-person workspaces, multiple workspaces, areas that allow computer-aided work, and tea-coffee break corners.
