The Mayor of Melikgazi is Dr. Mustafa Palancioglu said that they processed the domestic waste containers located in Melikgazi with their location on the Smart Melikgazi map, while saving labour and fuel.

        A good example of smart municipalism is "Smart Melikgazi", which says that they make the daily lives of the people easier. Mustafa Palancioglu said, "As a municipality, we have focused on smart city applications mainly in the fields of environment, transportation, management, security, health and geographic information system. Household waste (our garbage containers) located in our district are processed together with their location on the Smart Melikgazi map. After all our containers have been processed on our map, evaluations will be made according to the intensity of container use, and it is planned to reduce the number of containers, create automatic routing, and save fuel. Our mobile waste collection centres, zero waste containers, textile boxes, battery, electronic waste, vegetable waste oil containers are processed on the map. With this system, our citizens can see the waste bins closest to them and see where they will throw them. This system will be very useful to us.
