Melikgazi Municipality with the participation of AK Party General Vice President for Local Administrations Mehmet Özhaseki Hamdi-Zarife Şanlıünal Mosque, whose construction was completed in Yeşilyurt District with the cooperation of Melikgazi Municipality and philanthropists was inaugurated.

            The opening ceremony was attended by AK Party General Vice President for Local Administrations Mehmet Özhaseki, Deputy Governor Mehmet Hüseyin Nail Anlar, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, AK Party Kayseri Deputy Taner Yıldız, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın, AK Party Provincial President Şaban Çopuroğlu, Provincial Mufti Prof. Dr. Şahin Güven, Rector of Kayseri University Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, district mayors, President of Melikgazi District Gökhan Ülke, Women's Branch President Emine Timuçin and guests attended.

            Saying that they are happy to bring another an immortal piece of work to Melikgazi, the Mayor of Melikgazi, Dr. Mustafa Palancioğlu said, “After a long time, our opening and ground-breaking programs have started. Yeşilyurt region, with its dense population, is the new face of Kayseri, one of the new residential areas. We are working hard in this region. The benefactor of our mosque, Uncle Hamza and his wife are with us today. We are proud to open this mosque together. May Allah grant everyone the ability to do such good deeds. As a municipality, we, as a municipality, covered more than half of the mosque construction. We are making great efforts to meet the basic needs of Melikgazi. In this context, 9 more mosques are currently rising together with this mosque. In other words, we laid the foundations of 10 mosques in 2 years. Some of them are now ready for opening. We built 4 Quran courses. We are also assertive about the Health Centre. We have laid the foundations of 7 health centres and opened one of them today. One of the things we value most is our youth. For them, the construction of 12 schools is currently underway, and there are those whose projects continue. Therefore, as Melikgazi, when we come to the 2024 local elections, I hope we will meet the majority of the school, health centre, mosque and Quran course needs in Melikgazi. We are doing different projects in our 58 neighbourhoods. We set out with the theme of 80 parks in 80 days and brought our parks to our district. We are struggling to make the services better. I would like to thank our Uncle Hamdi and Aunt Zarife for their good deeds. “said.

            Provincial Mufti Prof. Dr. Şahin Güven, on the other hand, wished the mosque to be beneficial and thanked Melikgazi Municipality and philanthropist Zarife Şanlıünal. 

            Deputy Governor Mehmet Hüseyin Nail Anlar also made a speech and said, “Our Kayseri is a brand city. Our philanthropists make us proud in every field. This is a situation that comes from the culture and traditions of Kayseri. I would like to thank our mayors and benefactors and wish the mosque to be beneficial.” said.

            Stating that Mayor Mustafa Palancıoğlu and his team contributed to the development and beautification of Melikgazi Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “There's no I in team are reaping our culture.
