A New Digital Era in Melikgazi: "Assistant MEGA"

Melikgazi Municipality has launched the AI-powered assistant "MEGA" to further its digital transformation vision, improving citizen satisfaction and service quality.

MEGA has opened the doors to a new era in Melikgazi services by providing instant support to citizens through the municipality's call center and WhatsApp line.

Developed by the Research and Development Directorate and integrated into the Ulakbel infrastructure, MEGA was specifically designed to respond to citizen requests as quickly as possible. With this innovative step, Melikgazi Municipality became the first municipality in the region to actively utilize artificial intelligence in its service processes.

The artificial intelligence assistant MEGA assists citizens in creating requests, learning about the results of requests, inquiring about debt, and obtaining information. The system provides fast, reliable, and uninterrupted communication, providing responses within an average of 2 minutes.

This digital transformation process, carried out through the Ulakbel infrastructure, successfully completed 140,468 phone calls and 43,917 WhatsApp interactions from all sources in 2025.

Melikgazi Municipality continues its work with the vision of becoming an institution that not only uses technology but also produces and manages it. Thanks to the AI-supported system, citizens' waiting times have been significantly reduced, municipal services have become accessible 24/7, and resources have begun to be used more efficiently.

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that they are resolutely pursuing the digital transformation required by the current era. He stated that innovative projects will continue with the goal of being a pioneer in technology and up-to-date in services, and thanked his colleagues for their efforts.
