Applications for the village market places to be established start tomorrow in Melikgazi district.After the applications received, a lottery will be drawn for the manufacturers' stand in the market on Friday, July 2.

       Stating that such an application has been made to facilitate access to healthy food, Mayor of Melikgazi, Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, "We are happy to directly sell the products of the producers from the field to the market booth. One of our most important issues today is food safety. Food security starts with agriculture. We are working on this issue. Our non-producer brothers will not take part in the village market.

We are working to protect and sustain the markets where organic, fresh and natural products are sold. We always approach this issue with sensitivity. We will protect our farmers who are really producing and we will also ensure the sale of higher quality fruits and vegetables in the village markets. Our producers who want to take part in the village market can apply to our Hunat Police Department tomorrow with a farmer registration system document, a photo and a photocopy of ID. After the applications are received, we will draw lots for the manufacturers' stand in the market on Friday, July 2." he said.
