Continuing to work as an example and reference in order to prevent environmental pollution and recycle recycling wastes to the economy, Melikgazi Municipality has implemented another first in Kayseri and placed the Mobile Waste Collection Center in different parts of the district.

"We will continue to protect our environment by thinking about our future." said Mayor of Melikgazi Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, "Within the scope of the Zero Waste Regulation published in the Official Gazette No. 30829 dated 12.07.2019 by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, we started zero waste activities in Melikgazi with the slogan of Zero Waste. Our Ministry provided cash aid of 2.000.000 TL to our Zero Waste project. We started to place our 30 mobile waste collection centers, which we bought within the scope of our project, in appropriate places within the borders of our district. These are mobile containers placed in certain parts of the city for the purpose of healthy processing. Thus, we will separate the waste at its source. Kayseri 'General Zero Waste Certificate' was received by our first municipality and the mobile waste collection center was first used by our municipality. It continues to be an example and reference in recycling as well as in the field. Our Mobile Waste Collection Center has 7 compartments, and our citizens will be able to dispose of paper, plastic, metal, glass, vegetable waste oil, waste batteries and waste medicine. Our mobile waste collection center works with solar energy. I would like to thank all our citizens who contribute to our common future and environment in environmental protection works. "
