Two departments will be opened here. We will begin education this September with 48 students at our high school, which will be a source of pride for our country. and may it be auspicious for Melikgazi."
AK Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Elitaş expressed his happiness that a school that will once again support the aviation industry has been established in the place where the first aircraft was produced in Kayseri in 1925. He said, "We inspected the Melikgazi Municipality Mehmet Altun Aviation and Space Technologies Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Students will begin their education here this September. Turkey is now experiencing tremendous development with its UAVs, UCAVs, Kağan aircraft, and other aircraft. Kayseri is where the first aircraft industry in Türkiye began in 1925 as TOMTAŞ. It is where the first production took place. It was fitting that there was an Aviation and Space Technologies High School here as well. Our esteemed Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. We would also like to thank Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu and our President of Defense Industries, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün. They visited Kayseri, saw our school, and were very happy. I would also like to thank our esteemed President, the Presidents of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce, and our NGOs for their contributions, which will contribute to Kayseri's industrialization process, drawing a new roadmap. This will mark a new beginning and a new route for our province's industrialization. May it bring good luck."
