The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released updated Kayseri population data.

Kayseri’s 2025 population is projected to be 1,458,991, while Melikgazi has 593,000 With a population of 262, it ranked 19th among the largest districts of Turkey. Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. stated that Melikgazi is a district preferred by citizens and receives important services. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, made the following statements in his announcement:

“As every year, the population figures for provinces and districts have been announced by TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute). In this context, our Melikgazi district ranks 19th among the largest districts in Turkey. If we were to become a province, we would currently be the 37th largest province; that is, we have a larger population than 45 provinces. We currently have over 593,000 registered residents. On a daily basis, citizens from all districts and outside the city spend time in the central areas of Melikgazi; they shop, conduct business meetings, and make visits. Therefore, our Melikgazi district is a very large and spacious district. In this context, we are providing services day and night to be worthy of this. Schools, health centers, libraries, We are trying to bring the best services to this district, especially parks, mosques, Quran courses, and social facilities. Another feature of Melikgazi Municipality is that it is the district that issues the most permits in Turkey. Our district has a dynamic structure. With urban transformation and beautiful constructions, it continues to grow and become more beautiful every day. Hopefully, this growth will continue in the same way next year. Melikgazi continues to be a very preferred district in Kayseri, where citizens' satisfaction is high.”
