Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu issued a message for October 19th, Mukhtars' Day.

In his message, Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that muhtars are the backbone of local governments and that they play a crucial role in ensuring that citizens' requests and suggestions are quickly conveyed to institutions.

In Melikgazi, one of Turkey's most populous districts with 58 neighborhoods and a population of 600,000, Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that muhtars serve as a bridge in ensuring that services are quickly delivered to every neighborhood and that the needs of citizens are met. In his message, Mayor Palancıoğlu included the following:

“Happy October 19th Mukhtars' Day to our muhtars, the cornerstone of local government.” Let it be. Our muhtars are always our eyes and ears. They play a significant role in Melikgazi, which is growing and developing daily. We always work together with our muhtars to ensure that our citizens can reach us more quickly and that our municipal activities reach every corner of our district. We always consult with them regarding our projects in our district. It is very important for us to be able to meet even the wishes of a single citizen. As in every matter, our muhtars support us in the development of our district and undertake an important role. I once again congratulate our valued muhtars, who serve as a bridge between us and our citizens, on this occasion and wish them success in their duties.
