A GREAT CONTRIBUTION FROM MELİKGAZİ MUNICIPALITY TO THE YEŞİLYURT AUTO INDUSTRIAL SITE
19 November 2025

Melikgazi Municipality is carrying out extensive asphalt paving work at the Yeşilyurt Automotive Industrial Site, which was implemented in the Yeşilyurt region by the Kayseri Chamber of Automotive Craftsmen, affiliated with the Kayseri Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (KESOB).

Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu inspected the asphalt paving work on-site with KESOB President Şeyhi Odakır.

THE REGION'S AUTO INDUSTRY NEEDS ARE BEING MEET

The President expressed his satisfaction with contributing to the major project, which was launched with the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Palancıoğlu said the following:

“We are in the Yeşilyurt District, almost towards the end of Sivas Street, in the lower part of the İldem District, formerly known as Mancusun and now Yeşilyurt. Following Yeni Sanayi and Anbar, a beautiful auto industry has been established in the eastern part of the city. Therefore, I would like to thank our Sheikh, President, and everyone who contributed to this wonderful project. Our President's great support has made this wonderful project possible. I extend my gratitude to our President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Even the smallest shop here, including the basement, is around 450-500 square meters. The total cost wasn't even 4 million, and half of it was offered to our fellow tradesmen with almost ten-year installments and no interest. In any case, the concrete It's not as expensive as it would cost; it's a very reasonable price, and you could consider it a grant. They've secured such a wonderful workplace. 174 of my fellow tradesmen will be working in the auto industry. Parts sales, repair of large construction equipment and trucks, and repair of small cars will be done here. It's a magnificent area at the junction of Sivas Street, the old ring road, and the new ring road. I thank everyone who contributed. As Melikgazi Municipality, we've completed the highest quality, most beautiful asphalt paving, almost wide enough for an airplane to land. May God bless our tradesmen who will be operating here, whose lottery will be held next week, and grant them abundant, lawful earnings. May God bless the auto industry tradesmen.

KESOB President Sheikh Odakır said, “Just as I'm happy, so are yours, so are our tradespeople. We thank you all, especially our President. We acquired the land for the Yeşilyurt Automotive Industrial Site under favorable conditions. Our infrastructure and superstructure are complete. We will acquire the residences in the coming days. After acquiring the residences, we will have our electricity and water connected. We intend to draw the lots next week. Our auto industry consists of three segments: small vehicles, vehicles up to minibuses, and large vehicles. Large vehicles and small vehicles are not manufactured together; they damage each other, so we found a solution. We have small vehicles, large vehicles, and also auto parts dealers. The total height is high enough for a 5-meter truck to easily enter the workplace and lift the dump truck. We have a cafeteria, kitchen, locker rooms, and basement floors. Along with the basement floors, we can say there's another industrial site underground. It's currently complete, and will be ready in the coming days.” We will deliver. Due to the need for an auto industry stemming from the presence of vehicle inspection stations in İldem, Kaykop, and Beyazşehir, we established our industrial site in this region. Following our meeting with you, such an auto industrial site emerged. You have contributed to the plans, projects, asphalt work, and every aspect of our industry. We thank you and your team members for this, Mr. President. We also thank our Deputies, Ministers, and the Metropolitan Municipality; everyone has contributed here.”
