Melikgazi Municipality continues to touch the lives of thousands of citizens with the free summer courses it has opened throughout the district.

The courses, organized in 30 different regions, 18 social facilities and 16 different branches, have attracted great interest this year. The total number of trainees has already exceeded 7,000.

In this context, Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu visited the Tınaztepe Social Facilities, both inspecting the work on-site and sharing in the excitement of the trainees. Children are socializing in real life, not in front of screens. President Palancıoğlu, who takes a close interest in young people and children, inspected the summer courses. Drawing attention to the role of children in both their physical and mental development, he said the following: “As Melikgazi Municipality, we are currently providing training to exactly 7000 trainees. We are providing training in 16 different branches in 18 facilities in 30 different regions. We met with our trainees at our Tınaztepe Social Facilities. Here, we have training in different fields, from volleyball to speed reading techniques, from painting to instruments. This place is packed every day; we have 890 trainees in our Tınaztepe Social Facility alone. Everyone from young to old is here. I thank all our parents for not leaving their children alone and for taking care of them. This year we are really doing a very different summer school program. Our children It is very important for them to spend their energy on such activities so that they stay away from harmful habits and prevent them from spending too much time on the internet. Therefore, I thank all my teammates, our teachers and everyone who contributed.”
