The KÜRE Article Writing Workshop, a major program aimed at strengthening Turkey's digital memory through the scientific contributions of young people, was hosted by the Melikgazi Municipality with a large participation of young people.

The workshop, held at the Melikgazi Municipality Council Hall, addressed the topics of what KÜRE is, how to conduct research, Participants were provided with information on many topics, such as how to write an article.

The Küre Encyclopedia aims to grow by expanding participation in knowledge production through workshops held and to be held in different provinces, and that the workshop held in Melikgazi attracted great interest from young people. Melikgazi Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu said, “In Melikgazi, we are doing everything we can to ensure the development and well-equipping of our youth. In this context, we have prepared an important workshop for them. Participants in the KÜRE Project training, a comprehensive program aimed at strengthening Turkey's digital memory with the contribution of young people, participated in both theoretical and practical training and effectively experienced the digital encyclopedia writing processes. KÜRE is a completely domestic, artificial intelligence-powered digital encyclopedia. We all use Wikipedia now. We know that not all the information written here is accurate. The Küme Foundation will build its national version, a more advanced version, and its academic infrastructure. Today, you have received this training. We have great confidence in and love our youth. KÜRE Encyclopedia is a digital information platform that offers open-source, authored, and auditable content. KÜRE aims to strengthen Turkish digital content production in terms of both quality and quantity. The platform will grow over time with more content and authors. Hopefully, it will expand further. This event we held in Melikgazi was a great way to shape the local encyclopedia with our young people contributing to the future of digital information production. The workshop allowed young people to take an active role in the digital sphere, not only as information consumers but also as verifiable information producers. This is an open-source and reliable encyclopedia. One of the things that distinguishes us from others is that it is supported by artificial intelligence. Therefore, it is a system that utilizes technology. Secondly, the author of this system is known and verifiable. It is a searchable and up-to-date platform. We have a multilingual structure. You can contribute to KÜRE in more than 60 categories. We have three main content types: biography, dictionary, and encyclopedia articles. Each article writer in KÜRE conducts a lateral, in-depth search for the reader. Many different sources are scanned. The total number of articles written in KÜRE is 50,000.
