Melikgazi Municipality has commenced its new term with its new logo. The institutional logo of Melikgazi Municipality has been redesigned in accordance with the decision unanimously adopted in the Council.

Melikgazi Municipality Mayor Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu stated that they will continue their services with a new logo that represents Melikgazi in many ways. "As Melikgazi Municipality, we are implementing many new projects. We believe that these projects will bring many beauties to our district, and we are working with all our might to ensure that our citizens have access to a variety of services. Additionally, in line with the decision unanimously adopted by our Council in the new term, we are changing the logo that Melikgazi Municipality has been using since its establishment in 1989, which is the same as that of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and Kayseri Governorship, to prevent confusion," he said.

"Palancıoğlu, when explaining the characteristics of the new logo, which they said took into consideration many elements representing Melikgazi during the design process, stated: 'Our logo primarily encompasses many values and symbols representing Melikgazi. One of these is 'Erciyes.' Mount Erciyes is one of the most significant symbols for our city of Kayseri. Additionally, the 'double-headed eagle' symbol represents the Seljuk Empire. As known, the Seljuk Empire used the double-headed eagle as its symbol. Kayseri is one of the important cities of the Seljuk Empire, and since the establishment of Melikgazi to this day, our district has many traces of the Seljuk Empire. Furthermore, it symbolizes power. Therefore, we have chosen the double-headed eagle and the turquoise blue color. The letter 'M' in our logo represents Melikgazi. In Kayseri, known as the 'City of Scholars,' we symbolize education with the 'pen and book,' which are also included in the logo. One of the sources of inspiration for our logo is our 'tombs.' In every region of Kayseri, there are tombs of our elders who have contributed to Melikgazi. Our logo also represents these tombs, which are important values of our city. We will continue our services in the new term using this logo. May our new logo bring blessings to Melikgazi.'
