Associate Professor Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, the Mayor of Melikgazi Municipality, attended the Kayseri High School Students Meeting organized by the Kayseri High School Students Association and met with the members of the association.

“We place great importance on education as the municipality that builds the most schools in Turkey.”

Expressing his great happiness for being a graduate of Kayseri High School, Mayor Palancıoğlu continued his words as follows: "In many countries abroad, alumni associations of such ancient schools operate very widely. Therefore, having such an association for Kayseri High School is extremely important. As the municipality that builds the most schools in Turkey, we place great importance on education. In the last 5 years, we have provided a total of 21 schools to our district. Among these schools, we are implementing the Aviation and Space Sciences High School, which will hopefully be remembered like Kayseri High School even after a hundred years, and set an example for Turkey. Another school we will establish in this period will be Dahiler College. It will be a beautiful school where gifted students receive education, where projects addressing the century of Turkey are implemented, and where young people are raised.

Kayseri High School Association President Ömer Uzunoğlu and Honorary President Mehmet Savruk, both graduates of Kayseri High School, thanked Mayor Palancıoğlu for his support. 

The event, which brought together Kayseri High School alumni, concluded with President Palancıoğlu presenting a plaque to Mehmet Çanakçıoğlu, a former graduate of Kayseri High School.
